Connected or not.

February 8, 2011

I have often heard that the Universe rewards action. But, not necessarily in ways that make sense or that I can attribute a direct cause and effect relationship to. This month I'm reading a book about how to become successful. I've been doing the exercises and feeling encouraged and that all things are possible. I’m learning a lot about myself and that I have a real problem with choosing one goal to shoot for. I’m also learning that it’s O.K. to change one’s goals if the existing ones no longer fit.

This week (and it’s only Tuesday!) I have gotten two new clients and a call from an existing client to schedule an appointment. Coincidence? Or the Universe’s way of rewarding my efforts to become more successful? Either way, I’m loving it! It certainly encourages me to keep taking action!

Today’s book update actually has one extra chapter. (I’m such an over achiever!)

The Success Principles by Jack Canfield

Chapter 19 – Use Feedback to Your Advantage
Chapter 20 – Commit to Constant and Never-Ending Improvement
Chapter 21 – Keep Score for Success
Chapter 22 – Practice Persistence
Chapter 23 – Practice the Rule of 5

“However, there is as much useful data in negative feedback as there is in positive feedback. It tells us that we are off course, headed in the wrong direction, doing the wrong thing.”

“To reach your goals more quickly, you need to welcome, receive, and embrace all the feedback that comes your way.”

“Stop taking feedback so personally. It is just information designed to help you adjust and get to your goal a whole lot faster.”

“Simply take a step… and listen. Take another step and listen.”

“Do not try to hide the failure.”

“You have to measure what you want more of.” -Charles Coonradt

“Your dreams are your real job.” -Joyce Spizer

“Always be solution-oriented in your thinking.”
