Tax Season

...and Everything in its Place."

-Ben Franklin

Although it's still January, tax season is rapidly approaching. Any moment now those "Important Tax Document" envelopes will start showing up in our mailboxes. In order to minimize the amount of stress I experience in getting things to the accountant, I have a folder where all those envelopes go. I designated a space for them and let my husband know where it is. (Making sure everyone in the household knows where this folder or binder is is critical to its success.) That way, regardless of which one of us gets the mail, all the statements we receive will go in one place. I can tell you from experience, it makes tax time soooooo much easier. There's no hunting for anything and there's no panicking about possibly having lost a document. Just like everything else in a home, those documents should have a specific place to go.  Give it a try this year and let me know what you think.

Here's the Question:

Where in your home will you decide to accumulate all your incoming tax documents?
