Getting Organized...

Organizing is Good Self-care

...is good self-care.

Depending on the amount of clutter you have, the idea of sorting through it and then organizing what you have left can feel daunting, if not downright impossible.  We all have heard about the many ways we can take good care of ourselves: eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep, etc.  I contend that being organized is also a great form of self-care. It helps us to feel competent when we know EXACTLY where to find something; we manage our time better when we don't have to search for things just as we're trying to get out the door; we save more money because we don't buy duplicates of items we already have but can't find. The examples go on and on. So don't look at a cluttered space simply as a big mess that you have to deal with. Look at it as an opportunity to be kind to yourself and to give yourself the gift of space.

Here's an interesting article about it.

Here is the question:

How would your attitude toward decluttering change if you considered it a form of self-care?
