If You Want to Kill a Big Dream...

June 18, 2019
Who have you told about your dream?

...Share it with Small-Minded People.

We all have dreams. Maybe your dream is to travel around the world or maybe it's to live in an uncluttered home. You are the only one who can know the number and size of your dreams, but there are many ways we can be distracted from achieving them. One of the most common is when we are told they work. Naysayers can be friends, family or even our own mind. It can be challenging to buck popular opinion. When I was getting ready to leave my corporate job, I told very few people, mainly because I was scared to do it and was afraid that I would be talked out of it. Even though we know that other people's lack of confidence has everything to do with their own fears and hesitations, we can still be swayed from our own pursuits. No one achieves his/her dreams alone but we can be choosy about who we enlist to support us. Make sure that when you share what you're working on, it's with someone who will share your enthusiasm and faith in the goal.

Here is the Question:

Who are the supportive people in your life you could tell about your big dream?
