What do you do with your bonus time?
...The Good News is Your the Pilot

Wouldn't it be great if our schedule always worked out the way it was supposed to? While that would be nice, there are times when things unexpectedly change and we find ourselves with holes in our schedule.  When this happens, a common response is to get frustrated or even angry for the inconvenience.  But there is another way to look at.  You can choose to look at that time as "bonus time".  It's one of those rare occurrences when we actually find time.

I recently had an appointment shift by about 45 minutes.  Since I was too far away to go back home, I found a shady spot and made a bunch of phone calls that I had been meaning to make and I also scheduled an appointment that had been put off for far too long.  What a sense of accomplishment! When we look at our "bonus time" as a blessing instead of a curse, it opens up all sorts of possibilities.  I've even started carrying a book in my car so that when I have more time than I anticipated, I always have something to do that I enjoy.  Plus, it helps me cross off items from my ever-growing To Do list!

Here is the question:

What activities can you use to take advantage of your "bonus time"?
