One of the most common questions I hear when working with a client is "Where do we start?" It applies not only to which room to start decluttering but where in the room to start. Because it all needs to get done, technically, it doesn't matter where we begin. I always ask them "Where do you feel called to start?" Even if they don't realize it at first, they always have a preference for where they want to begin. If sorting through paperwork is too overwhelming, we can sort through a bookshelf or a desk drawer or a closet or, or, or. There are plenty of other places to direct our attention. Whenever you find yourself avoiding a decluttering project, ask yourself the following:

Donating helps you see more progress right away and it prevents the donation items from becoming a new pile of clutter. $50.00/hour
