Without a plan...

What Are You Avoiding?

You’re Going to Stay Where You Are.

We all come up against blocks when we contemplate something new. Maybe it's finally cleaning out the basement or organizing our home office. We keep meaning to get to it but somehow we never do. Instead of moving it from one To Do list to the next week after week, take a few minutes and consider "What is my internal tension regarding this work?" Since feeling tense is never fun, we can easily ignore the fact that we're feeling it with excuses for being to too busy to get to the project. The tricky thing is that unless we're willing to acknowledge the feeling, we're powerless to move through it.  Once we get in touch with it, we can create a plan for how to address it. Maybe the tension is about not wanting to do the project alone so we'll invite a friend over to help. It really can be that easy. Acknowledge the feeling and decide how to soothe it.

Here is the question:

What is your internal tension about a current project you're not making time for?  How can you soothe it?
